Player Commitment

Here’s what a typical season looks like for VTUSA players, so families can plan ahead and better understand the timeline of trainings, games, and special events.

Player Commitment

Player Commitment at VTUSA

When you choose VTUSA, we also choose you.

Our commitment to player development begins with building strong team connections. Each player is placed on an age-appropriate team and introduced to their head coach. From there, players are expected to train regularly with their team as they develop teamwork, communication, tactical understanding, and individual skills.

Below is what a typical VTUSA season looks like:

December 2025 – March 2026: Indoor Winter Training

Training begins around December 1st, held at Top Notch Tennis Center in Stowe.

Players train twice a week with their team.

Optional individualized sessions may also be offered.

We honor school breaks, holidays, and local events—sessions during these times may be canceled or optional. Weather-related cancellations or changes due to facility availability may also occur throughout the season.

Training times are age-based: Younger teams train earlier in the evening; older teams train later.

March – April 2026: Turf Training

Training continues twice a week, now on the indoor turf at Stowe Ice Arena.

Players work with their head coach and teammates in preparation for the spring season.

Optional small-group or individual sessions remain available.

Training times continue to reflect team age group.

May – June 2026: Outdoor Training & League Play

Teams train twice a week outdoors at one or more of our field locations: Morrisville – All Saints Catholic Academy & Waterbury – Dascomb Rowe Fields.

Field assignment depends on coach location, player distribution, and availability.

Players participate in the VSA Spring Soccer League, with games on weekends (Saturday or Sunday, and occasionally both).

Tournaments & Key Spring Events - each team will also select one local tournament to attend based on coach availability and player commitment.

VTUSA Memorial Day Tournament – Sunday, May 24, 2026, Morrisville, VT (hosted by VTUSA)

High Peaks Tournament – May 30–31, Lake Placid, NY (travel option for older teams)

Nordic Cup – June 12–14, Essex, VT

Alliance Cup – June 19–21, South Burlington, VT

August 2026: Summer Camp

VTUSA Summer Soccer Camps will run August 3–7, 2026, in Morrisville. A full week of camp is included in your registration fee. Once age groupings are confirmed, families will be invited to choose the camp session that best fits their player’s schedule.

Spring is a busy season! Between league games, tournaments, school sports, and family commitments, we understand it takes planning to make it all work. We appreciate your support and look forward to helping your player grow as both an athlete and a teammate.
